Six Flags Ohio guests experienced the thrill of it all beginning in 1998 as the park introduced Serial Thriller suspended looping coaster. This unique coaster is designed to carry trains below the track, rather than above it. While suspended from the track, riders are securely harnessed with their legs and feet freely dangling as they encounter various loops, twists and spirals. Riders begin their minute-and-a-half journey on over 2,037 feet of steel track by ascending an astounding 120-foot hill, right before diving to within eight feet off the ground while traveling at speeds in excess of 50 mph. After the 10-story dive, the totally twisted journey continues as thrill seekers experience a feeling of complete disorientation while traveling through seven incredible inversions including three twists, two loops and two spins. Riders feel weightless and free as they enter a pulse-pounding, pretzel-like twist which hurls the train upside down twice, connecting to a full 360-degree loop. Next, the train travels lightning fast into a sidewinder, a spiral that turns riders upside down once more. Before returning to the station, riders find themselves twisted around two more times during a heart-stopping double spin.
